Terms of Us

The relationship agreement you never actually read

Most couples aren't bad at love.

You're just running on terms nobody ever agreed to...

What we expect from each other

What connection actually looks like

What support actually means

How we handle the hard stuff

These terms were never spoken out loud — they were assumed, inherited, or just quietly hoped for. And a surprising amount of relational friction comes from two sets of unspoken contracts colliding, year after year, with neither of you quite sure why the same argument keeps showing up in different clothes.

This workbook is where you make them explicit.

together

Terms of Us is a guided, fill-in workbook built around one simple idea: write down what you've actually agreed to, in your own words, before resentment writes it for you.

It's not therapy. It's not a quiz. It's not 40 pages of theory you'll never finish.

It's four honest conversations - structured so they don't turn into the usual one. It's a one-page record of what you decide, signed by both of you. Something you can come back to. Something you can rewrite when things change. Because they will.

The Four Clauses

One for each part of a relationship that quietly drifts:
Clause 1 - Communication. The clause you argue about most, and have read the least. The patterns that feel normal but aren't working and what you want instead.
Clause 2 - Connection. You both signed up to this one. You just defined it differently. What actually makes each of you feel close, named out loud and built in on purpose.
Clause 3 - Support. The clause that does the most quiet damage when it's left vague. What you really need when you're struggling and what your partner's been trying to offer that maybe never landed.
Clause 4 - Growth. The terms you originally agreed to stopped fitting a while ago. Permission to change, and a plan for growing together instead of just alongside each other.
Each clause works the same way: reflect on your own first, then come together to talk, then write the one thing you've both agreed to.
It ends with The Small Print - your four new Terms of Us on a single page, in your words, signed and dated.

Terms of Us

A guided workbook for couples - for the conversations you keep meaning to have and never quite get around to.

A simple, guided way to turn years of unspoken assumptions into four things you've actually agreed on together, so you can finally stop having the same argument and start feeling like a team again.

I am Ashley. With over 15 years as a therapist, a lot of it spent with couples - which mostly means I've watched the same quiet thing happen over and over: two people who love each other, running on terms that neither of them agreed to or have long since expired. I'm not here to fix you; I don't think you're broken. I just think most couples have never quite said the quiet part out loud - so I made you something that helps you do exactly that. GOT SOME

QUESTIONS?

Is this couples therapy?

No. It's a set of guided conversations you do yourselves, using the same ideas I'd use in the room. If it stirs something bigger, that's useful info and perfect for a few sessions with a therapist.

We're not in crisis - is this even for us?

Especially for you! This works best as maintenance, not rescue. The couples who drift the least are the ones who check the terms before anything breaks.

Do we both need to buy a copy?

No. One purchase covers you both. There's a person A and a person B side built into every question.

What if it brings something up?

That's normal and honestly...that's the point. Go slow, come back to it and know there's not rule that says you have to finish it in one sitting.

How do we get it?

Instant download in both a fillable copy and a printable one.

Every relationship runs on terms. The only question is whether you wrote them - or just inherited them and hoped.

This is where you write yours.

Together.
